6th Bantula International Conference on Cultural Based Education and Research
This documentary presents an ethnographic study that explores the integration of ethnography and thematic analysis, drawing on materials from the Department of Education’s MTBL program in Koronadal City. It highlights how the Blaan community has adapted their language and cultural expressions—such as the Mla dance—to reflect local traditions and evolving innovations. Rooted in their reverence for the moon, or Bulen, the dance symbolizes its deep historical and spiritual significance in the community’s agricultural practices and daily life.
